The launch of the Alliance was held in Dakar Senegal on March 21st through an official signing of a “Working Arrangement” with the initial cadre of core members who committed and projects to the Alliance as initial the signatories. This event activated the formal operationalization of the initiative from a governance, strategy, and deliverables perspective.

Signing of the Alliance Working Arrangement, hosted by Macky Sall at the World Water forum. The launch sensitized stakeholders on the overarching objectives of the initiative. It formally signaled the operationalization of the Alliance, supported by a press release to be issued after the event.

Additionally, through the launch the Alliance was able to increase outreach with key stakeholders articulating the opportunities and benefits the initiative, and acted as a vehicle to catalyze interest with organizations to learn more and potentially join the Alliance.
